We're looking for an Export Manager to drive results, build partnerships, and lead growth in the Baltics, Iceland & Switzerland. Join Kemppi’s international sales team!
Your role
As Export Manager for Distributor Sales, you will be responsible for developing and managing the Kemppi and Trafimet distributor network across the Baltic States, Iceland, and Switzerland. You will drive the execution of short-, mid-, and long-term growth strategies and be accountable for achieving sales targets in your region. A key part of your role will be to strengthen, motivate, and expand our distributor partnerships.
The location for this role can be in Finland or in one of Kemppi's subsidiary countries (Germany, Poland, for example).
Key responsibilities
- Manage and develop the existing distributor network across Baltic states, Iceland, Switzerland
- Create and implement multi-year growth plans in collaboration with Sales Leadership (Local Business Plan Distributor Sales)
- Evaluate distributor performance by category and provide monthly and quarterly feedback via CRM
- Conduct regular visits to distributors and end users as agreed with Sales Leadership.
- Encourage distributor participation in Kemppi Group’s sales training (online and live events)
- Ensure Distributors organize local events such as open houses, conferences, trade shows and seminars to customers especially regarding new Kemppi & Trafimet equipment and solutions (support locally when needed)
- Maintain active communication with distributors (via visits, calls, emails, Teams, WhatsApp, etc.) regarding sales progress, open projects, and product launches.
- Submit travel reports for each distributor or end-user visit and log them into CRM.
- Identify and nominate new distributors in alignment with Sales Leadership.
- Provide ongoing support for distributor activities (marketing, training, after-sales, customer service, logistics) in collaboration with Kemppi HQ specialists.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables.
You will thrive in this role if you have:
- A background either: in technical sales (experience in Welding, Product or Project Management is a plus, not a must) or in welding (experience in technical sales is a plus, readiness to develop commercial skills is a must)
- Experience in international sales or customer relationship management with a focus on (northern) European Distribution
- A strong drive for identifying and developing new business opportunities
- Hands-on mindset
- Fluency in English, additional languages are an asset
- Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to create win-win situations
- Commitment to value and consultative selling
- Strategic thinking and business acumen
- Self-motivation and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Project management skills
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work as a true team player using the full tool chest of Kemppi & Trafimet to achieve the agreed targets.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
